If you are in Berlin and want to buy something vegan you won’t experience any problems finding something to eat or buy as Germany is the flagship of vegan food and consumer products. Even common supermarkets have vegan departments too. A few years ago a specialty store called “Veganz” was opened. I’m going to start with it.
There are a few Veganz shops in the city, you can find them at the following addresses: Warschauer Str. 33 – working hours: Mon – Fri 9.00 – 22.00, on Sundays the shop doesn’t work; Schivelbeiner Str. 34 – working hours: Mon – Fri 8.00 – 20.00, Sunday – 10.00 – 18.00; Marheinekepl. 15 – working hours: Mon – Fri 8.00 – 20.00, on Sundays the shop doesn’t work.
I’ve been to Veganz that is located at Warschauer Str. 33.
It is forbidden to take pictures in the shop, so I will describe you it. In general, you can find everything beginning from usual candy to consumer chemistry and pet food there. I bought some sweets.
Vegan shoes store is located in the same building with the Veganz on the second floor.
As I have already noted each supermarket has special departments with vegan products. Veganz also promote their products there. In the dairy products section you can easily find vegan cheese, yogurts and so on.
Bio-shops are scattered all over Berlin. You can find a lot of vegan options there.
If you are interested in cosmetics and household chemicals a network of shops like “DM” and “Rossmann” located all over the city will help you. On that note I end my small review of vegan shopping in Berlin. A vegan won’t starve to death here!
