Today I’m going to tell you a well-known pumpkin millet porridge recipe. This is a very useful and nutritious vegan pumpkin dish. Actually it is not even necessary to cook pumpkin with millet – you can use rice, semolina or even couscous. I decided to cook the traditional pumpkin porridge.
– 500-600 gr. pumpkin;
– 3/4 cup millet;
– 3 cups vegetable milk (you can cook porridge with water);
– 2 Tbsp sugar;
– a pinch of salt.
First of all we need to peel the pumpkin and cut it into cubes.
Rinse the millet and fill it with boiling water for 5 minutes. Heat the milk up. As soon as it begins to boil add the pumpkin, sugar and salt. Bring it to a boil.
The last step is to add the millet. Cook it for 20-30 minutes.
